หลังจาก Oracle ได้เปิดให้ดาวน์โหลด Oracle Database 11g Release2
ซึ่งก่อนหน้านี้ออกมาแต่ OS ที่เป็ฯ UNIX อันได้แก่ Linux,Solaris,AIS,UP-UX Itanium

ล่าสุด คืนก่อนวันสงกรานต์ (คืนวันที่ 12 เมษายน 2553)  Oracle ได้เปิดให้ดาวน์โหลด Oracle Database 11g Release2 for Windows แล้ว 

มีทั้งแบบติดตั้งบน Windows 32 bit และ 64  bit  ...รวมถึง Oracle Client  ให้ดาวน์โหลด

ใครอยากใช้ Oracle  บน Windows 7  ก็สมใจ ใน release นี้นะครับ

Oracle Database11g R2 สำหรับ Windows 32 bit สามารถติดตั้งได้บน :

• Windows Server 2003 - all editions
• Windows Server 2003 R2 - all editions
• Windows XP Professional
• Windows Vista - Business, Enterprise, and Ultimate editions
• Windows Server 2008 - Standard, Enterprise, Datacenter, Web, and Foundation editions. The Server Core option is not supported.
• Windows 7 - Professional, Enterprise, and Ultimate editions

 Oracle Database11g R2 สำหรับ Windows 64 bit สามารถติดตั้งได้บน :

• Windows Server 2003 - all x64 editions
• Windows Server 2003 R2 - all x64 editions
• Windows XP Professional x64 Edition
• Windows Vista x64 - Business, Enterprise, and Ultimate editions
• Windows Server 2008 x64 and Windows Server 2008 R2 x64 - Standard, Enterprise, Datacenter, Web, and Foundation editions. The Server Core option is not supported.
• Windows 7 x64 - Professional, Enterprise, and Ultimate editions
